Open an advocate's profile and select “Request consultation”. Describe your matter, choose how you'd like to talk and share your mobile number. The advocate is notified instantly and replies in your Legalnet inbox.

No. Searching, requesting consultations and chatting are free. If you go ahead with an advocate, you pay their consultation or professional fee directly to them - Legalnet takes no commission.

Only the advocate or firm you send a request to (and our support team if you ask us for help). Your details are never shown publicly.

Once an advocate accepts your consultation, you can leave one review for them. Reviews are marked “Verified client” so others know they're genuine. You can edit or delete your review anytime from your dashboard.

Advocates sometimes decline when they're unavailable or the matter is outside their expertise - they'll often suggest someone else. You can request another advocate straight away.

Usually within 2 working days of completing your profile. We'll notify you as soon as you're verified. Until then, your profile is visible only to you.

Open the accepted consultation and choose “Create case”. The client's details are copied over so you can start tracking hearings and filings immediately.

Yes. Turn off “Accepting new clients” in your profile settings or from the dashboard. Your profile stays visible but shows that you're not taking new matters.

Go to Settings and use the “Change password” section.

In Settings, scroll to “Delete account”. This permanently removes your profile, consultations and messages. It can't be undone.
